Cascade Hop Pellets (finishing) (would like to try hallertaurer m) 1/2 tsp. Irish Moss 1 cup fresh strawberries in hop bag Yeast dry ale or wiehenstephan 3/4 cup corn sugar (to prime) Procedure: place 1.5 gal water in brewpot. bring water to 150 degrees, add grain. slowly increase temp to 170 degrees during 40 minutes remove grain (would like to try pouring hot water over grain bag into boil to extract more) Add the extract and Bring the brewpot to a boil. Add bittering hops. Boil for total of 60 mins. Add strawberries in hop bag at 30 minutes. Add the Irish Moss for last 10 minutes of the boil. Add the finishing hops for last 5 minutes of the boil. Pitch yeast: Choice 1 - try wiehenstephan-style yeast Choice 2 - try plain dry ale yeast done in a 1 pint starter combo - use 2 5-gal fermenters or and do 3-gal in each? OG(desired 1.050- 1.060?) FG(desired 1.010?) Ferment at 68 deg for 2 weeks, optionally racking to 5-gal fermenter after 1 week
